Elation Pictures is a UK-based production company founded by Emilie Jouffroy and Kamilla Kristiane Hodøl.  Recognised in Screen International's Brit 50: Ones to Watch 2025, the company’s growth and success has been uplifted through receiving a BFI Vision Award 2016 and UKGSF Business Development grant in 2024. 

Elation has always had an interest in international collaboration, operating a daughter company in Norway, Elation Pictures Norway AS, to further expand its international presence and outreach. In 2024  the company produced THE DAMNED, directed by Thordur Palsson, which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival and secured worldwide distribution through Sony. The film was set up as a co-production between the UK, Ireland, Iceland and Belgium, in collaboration with US based Ley Line Entertainment (EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE), with Protagonist and CAA handling sales.

The company’s slate includes Maria Martínez Bayona’s ambitious debut THE END OF IT starring Rebecca Hall, Gael GarcÍa Bernal, Noomi Rapace and Beanie Feldstein will have its World Premiere at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival. Upcoming features include an adaptation of FOXFINDER, the award-winning play from Dawn King, developed with Film4 and BFI and to be directed by Aoife McArdle (SEVERANCE), and TOAD (wri/dir. Claire Fowler), which was selected for the 2024 Sundance Screenwriting Lab and is in development with BFI. Elation also has several projects in development with BBC Film, Film4 and the BFI, with filmmakers including Aoife McArdle, Marija Kavtaradze, Claire Fowler, Simon Cartwright, Eva Riley and Thordur Palsson.

Emilie and Kamilla’s further credits include feature TIDESwhich premiered at BFI London Film Festival in 2017, and GREAT YARMOUTH - PROVISIONAL FIGURESfrom acclaimed Portuguese Director, Marco Martins which premiered in Official Selection at San Sebastian Film Festival in 2022. Their prolific success in shorts earned them a raft of international awards recognition. Animated short EDMOND(dir. Nina Gantz) won a BAFTA for Best Animation, a BIFA for Best Short Film, and the Sundance Best Animation award; MANOMAN(dir. Simon Cartwright) was BAFTA and BIFA nominated, screening at Cannes Cinefondation, Sundance and SXSW; THANKS FOR DANCING (dir. Henrik Martin Dahlsbakken) found worldwide distribution on Disney+, and DIAGNOSIS(dir. Eva Riley) was selected as Short of the Week and as a Vimeo Staff Pick.
